Arco
Arco is situated on the northern fringe of Lake Garda. It is a
historical and cultural centre of great interest with a well documented
tradition of hospitality and tourism. The town of Arco, as well as the whole
area surrounding it, enjoys the natural benefits of a mild climate and the
florid Mediterranean flora, but only here is the air so clean and
invigorating, and is the foundation of its past glory and its reputation as a
"natural clinic". Arco is an ecological niche, a romantic refuge, a
microcosm of history and culture. Parks and gardens with elegant liberty
style villas, wonderful Renaissance palaces, a rich and diverse cuisine,
light and full-bodied wines are the perfect pre-requisites for a holiday
characterized by relaxation, sport and fun.
The ancient part of the town is surrounded by the rocks of the castle that
has been recently renovated and open to the public. Overlooking the whole
town there is the rock on which the Collegiata of Palladian school, founded
in 1613, was built. Many noble Apartments owned by the Counts of Arco border
the III Novembre square: the present Town Hall, Palazzo Giuliani and, in Via
Vergolano, Palazzo Plateola.
Riva
The color blue of the water is more intense, the sunlight more vivid
and the air is oxygenated by the mountains and purified by the Lake Garda
breeze which blows and fills the colored sails of the windsurfs. The beaches,
surrounded by vegetation or steep rocks, are wide and sunny. The
Mediterranean vegetation consisting of olive trees, lemon trees, palms and
bay trees, record the changing of the seasons. Here, where the lake ends and
the Brenta Dolomites start, the tourist can enjoy a splendid holiday full of
opportunities: history, art, sports and nature, the warm welcome, the

art and culture that survived and preserved today through the difficult

Nago - Torbole
NAGO is a
spectacular door to the lake watching from above as it did when it was a
small village at the foot of Penede Castle observing the movements of the
Valle dell΄Adige towards the lake. This is one of the most beautiful sites of
this area and is of great interest due to the rich Mediterranean flora, for
the unforgettable views of the whole Lake Garda and for the ruins of the
castle (12th century) set in a splendid park. The area of Nago-Torbole also
includes the Mount Baldo Nature Park which is called "The Garden of
Europe" because of its botanical richness. In this wonderful natural
habitat there exist many plant species and the many endemisms made it
world-wide known and attract many scholars and tourists.
