(Southern Sirmione & Desenzano) In the southern part of the west shore of Lake Garda, Sirmione and Desenzano represent the most famous villages of the entire lake. (Northern Riviera dei Limoni) The “Riviera dei Limoni” is the northern part of the West side of Lake Garda. Its name (Lemon’s shore) comes from its climate, that can only be compared to the Ligurian Riviera and is characterized by evergreen and Mediterranean plants.

Limone, Tremosine, Gargnano, Tignale, Toscolano Maderno, Gardone Riviera, and Salò are the 8 villages that are named “Riviera dei Limoni” (Lemon shore), they all are included into the National Natural Park of Alto Garda Bresciano.

This is the quieter part of the Lake, where the nature is superb and the water is clean (and a little bit cold). Each of the old villages of Salò, Gardone, Tuscolano Maderno and Gargnano offers an interesting and very quiet shopping center and sport opportunities.
